Reflections of week 2/1/16 – 2/7/16
• Another step towards a goal
• A new friend
• Another coworker lunch
• Adult coloring party
• Trip planning
I’d say my biggest accomplishment this past week was talking to a lawyer about setting up a LLC. I had no idea what was involved. It’s not TOO expensive, but definitely a good chunk of money if you aren’t really serious about it. I feel like all signs are point to yes. Before I commit though, I think there are a few other steps I want to take first. I know mistakes are part of the journey but it’s in my nature to do things the “right way.” It’s basically impossible but you better believe I’m going to try. I feel like I need more focus, goals, a plan. If you know of any resources to guide me, please share!
Another accomplishment was completing February’s Lunch with Coworkers! I will be working on that post soon. The best part is how AWKWARD I make things. I can totally laugh at myself and thankfully my coworker could too! Must be the name – us Ashlei(y)s know whats up. I’m so happy how this is coming along and how receptive people are to it. It seems this idea is contagious which is AWESOME! Have you been inspired to take action and reach out to people in your life to make plans? I want to hear about it!
I can’t take credit for this next accomplishment as it wasn’t initiated by me. I met someone named Karen for the first time – through video chat! We are both taking Brené Brown’s Living Brave Semester and are in the New York CourageWorks Facebook group. She commented on one of my posts and offered to stay in contact as she wanted to connect with another 30 year old. I’ll admit, video makes me nervous! Meeting new people makes me nervous! However, she is SO kind and we ended up having so much in common. There were so many “me too” moments and I’m so grateful she reached out to me. Our conversation was just another sign from the Universe – just what I needed to hear!
This weekend I made Valentine’s Day cookies with my aunt, sister and cousin. Somehow adult coloring books came up and my cousin said she has one. I am so excited! I totally want to have adult coloring book parties. Wine, snacks, coloring – sounds like the perfect night to me. Do you love to color? Hey, maybe we can have a virtual hangout-coloring party! Who is in?!

• My trip is soon – I need to start planning/researching! I expect to take about a million photos. I’m so excited!
• Sending the vibes out there for the Universe to lead me in the right direction. Guide my next steps, put the right people in my path, and help me get out of my own way. There is something bigger meant for me. I don’t know what is going to change, but things aren’t going to stay the same.
•My sister is pregnant, and she finally looks it! Such a weird feeling. There aren’t a lot of babies in my family and the ones we have live out of town. There’s also something just different when it’s your sister going through it. Ah, can’t wait to meet my nephew!
