Personally, Yin Yoga may be my favorite style. I’ve done hot yoga, flow, power yoga…but I prefer the relaxing and restorative kind. I also can’t touch my toes so my flexibility is limited. Holding a pose for 5-7 minutes forces me to let go and sink in. It helps me feel like I am getting a deep stretch. It’s relaxing and uncomfortable at the same time. Some people want to be sweaty and feel like they’ve done a workout – Yin is not that. However, you still might be sore the next day! I was after my first class!
